EQUESTRIAN TOURISM IN PORTUGAL

LUSITANOS AT THE COUNTRY CLUB

 

Day 1 :

 

• Arrival at Lisbon Airport and transfer to Hotel Vila Galé Country Club in Beja - 5 pm.

• Welcome dinner at the hotel’s restaurant – The Hunting Lodge - hosted by our team, where some information about the trail will be passed to the riders.

• Overnight at Hotel Vila Galé.

Day 2:

​

• After breakfast, riders will head to the hotel’s arena where each horse will be assigned to each rider.
  Riders will have the opportunity to ride inside the arena; a good way for horse and rider to get acquainted, while enjoying the wonderful view over the countryside and preserved nature of the region.

• The first section of the trail includes a ride around “Herdade da Figueirinha”, belonging to Hotel Vila Galé, with the opportunity to see its various productions.

• Stop for a picnic lunch in a privileged location with a view over the dam – “Barragem do Roxo”.

• Continue the riding in the fields around the farm, enjoying the afternoon.

• In the end of the afternoon, arrival to the Hotel, with time to relax before dinner at the restaurant.

• Overnight at Hotel Vila Galé.

Day 3:

​

• Riding on horseback from Hotel Vila Galé towards “Herdade da Malhadinha Nova”, a local rural tourism specialized in production and riding of Lusitano horses.

• Stop for lunch at “Herdade da Malhadinha Nova”, followed by a visit to the Stud facilities.

• Return to Hotel Vila Galé with time to relax before dinner.

• Dinner will be served at the former bullfighting arena’s restaurant.

• Overnight at Hotel Vila Galé.

Day 4:

​

• After breakfast, riding on horseback around the farm.

• Stop for a picnic lunch in the middle of the vineyards.

• Return to the Hotel on horseback, with time to relax.

• Before dinner, riders will head to the wine house Santa Vitoria for a tour, followed by a wine tasting of wines from the producer.

• Dinner will be served at the “Room of the Barrels”.

Day 5:

​

• Riding on horseback towards the local rural tourism from “Herdade dos Grous”.

• Stop for lunch at the restaurant with a great view over the property.

• Return to Hotel Vila Gale, with time to relax before dinner.

• Overnight at Hotel Vila Galé.

Day 6:

​

• After breakfast, riding on horseback towards the small village of Mina da Juliana, enjoying the landscape along the dam.

• Stop for lunch at the local rural tourism “Agroturismo do Roxo”

• Return to Hotel Vila Gale, with time to relax before dinner.

Day 7 :

• After breakfast, transfer to Lisbon airport - 9 am
